About Georjeans Dog Grooming

Georjeans Dog Grooming has been providing quality dog grooming and self-service dog bathing services in Warrenton, Virginia, since 1999. It is the only locally-owned shop in Warrenton with a self-service dog wash as well as experienced professional dog groomers and support staff.

Jean Gillen and Georgia Sabean, original owners, Georjeans Pet Grooming, Warrenton VAGeorjeans Pet Grooming was originally founded and managed by Georgia Sabean and Jean Gillen, who had previously owned and operated Jeannie’s Pet Boutique in Vienna and Falls Church, Virginia. In mid-2011, they retired and sold their Warrenton Georjeans Grooming shop to Aspirations Pet Services, LLC, owned by Leslie Shriner, a long-time friend and professional colleague.

Georgia and Jean brought to the shop a lifelong love of dogs and more than 35 years experience in the pet grooming business.

Leslie Shriner

Leslie Shriner has twenty years of professional experience in dog care, grooming, handling, and training. A graduate of Gettysburg College with a degree in Biology, she served for a number of years as a vet tech and groomer with several Maryland veterinary clinics and eight years as a dog training instructor at Dog Sense Unlimited in Rockville, Maryland.

After graduating from the distinguished Maryland School of Dog Grooming in 1997, Leslie founded Aspirations Pet Services in Silver Spring, Maryland, offering grooming, handling, and training services and specializing in the grooming and care of companion show dogs, hand-stripped breeds, geriatric dogs, and other special needs dogs. She is a breeder of Standard Schnauzers with numerous AKC show Group placements and has served as board member and secretary of the Potomac Valley Standard Schnauzer Club. She has trained, groomed, and handled various breeds of dogs at hundreds of AKC shows, including the world-renowned Westminster Dog Show in New York and the National Dog Show in Philadelphia.

Recently Leslie has begun judging Standard Schnauzers at Matches and Sweepstakes in pursuit of eventual recognition to judge at AKC dog shows. Leslie is also a long-time member of the National Dog Groomers Association of America and brings all of her experience and expertise to dog owners in the Warrenton area while continuing the tradition of service established by Georgia and Jean.

AshLee Smith

AshLee has been an animal lover her whole life. Growing up with an array of pets on her family farm gave her an in-depth skill set and knowledge base as well as the passion to pursue experience in the fields of veterinary medicine and rescue rehabilitation, dog training and behavior, now culminating in a career as a certified dog groomer.

AshLee started her career with animals as a Veterinary Assistant where she first got her first grooming experience. Then, while working in a rescue rehabilitation center AshLee volunteered to do the grooming of shelter pets in desperate need in order to help them find their forever homes.

AshLee is also currently a trainer with Duskland Dogs Training and Behavior, teaching beginners obedience classes and soon to be be teaching advanced classes.

AshLee’s passion to work with animals is now expressed through grooming, dog training, and dog shows. She is also the proprietor of Pride Rock Pet Services.
